Speaking Engagements

Many times throughout my life I have been asked, “How do you keep going?”, but it wasn’t until my oldest son asked me that question during his first year of college that the weight of that question hit me. I was asked this question over and over again because I didn’t (and at times still don’t) share my full story. I kept the embarrassing moments, difficult decisions, and nights crying in my closet to myself. Sound familiar??

Sharing our stories is how we can engage with each other to feel hope and understanding. We all experience struggles and triumphs and everything in-between. Often times we think we are the only one that is going through something, or we think our struggle isn’t BIG enough to share so we keep quiet or we don’t want to be judged by others.

At the age of thirty-one, I had two kids under five, no college education with $600 dollars to my name, and recovering from a toxic environment. But GOD!! Today I have a college education, two coaching certifications, I’ve climbed the corporate ladder, remarried, had a baby in my forties, and am living life as a blended family.

I would love to share my story and spark hope in you or those you are serving so that we all can be better together, sharing our life experiences to create a world where we focus on what we do to move forward.
